The Sign-in process for Lynda.com has changed!
What does this mean?
This guide will assist current UC staff and students to register and login to Lynda.com. Existing Lynda.com subscribers will also be able to use this guide however please pay close attention to step (#4).
Steps to login:
*All Lynda.com accounts that are not accessed through UC's SSO engine will be removed by the end of Semester 1.
Further explanation of each of the above steps are listed below with images:
(1.) Click on the Register/Login button which will redirect you to UC's Single Sign On page.
(2.) Enter your User ID and password (the same ID and password that you use to login to MyUC)
(3.) Choose your information release settings
Acknowledge and confirm your information release settings. (Do not see this page? this may be due to you previously accepting your information release settings when logging into the SSO engine previously. If you have any concerns please contact email@example.com
(4.) Did you have an existing account prior to the SSO migration? - search for and migrate your existing account to your new SSO account
(5.) Complete your Lynda.com profile
You will then be asked to complete your profile by applying additional attributes to your profile. This will help us to better understand the usage of Lynda.com by our UC patrons.
(6.) Start your Lynda.com journey.
Once you have created a profile, you will need to login to Lynda.com using your username and password to access training videos. (You can direct your students to the Lynda.com Library Guide for login information)
If you have previously logged into Lynda.com via UC's subscription before January 2017 and have not yet migrated your account to the Single-Sign-On (SSO) engine, the following information is important:
All Lynda.com accounts within the University of Canberra's subscription that have not been authenticated in the new SSO will be removed by the end of Winter Semester, 2017 from the University of Canberra's Lynda.com subscription.
If you are a previous student and/or staff member and would like to continue to use your Lynda.com account with your own personal subscription and wish to migrate your playlists and certificates across, please contact Lynda.com support https://www.lynda.com/support/contact and they will be able to migrate your old UC account history to your new Lynda.com subscription.
This guide will assist you to share direct links to Lynda.com resources with other UC students and staff.
It is almost as simple as copying and pasting from the browser search bar, however there is one additional step to ensure that users can be authenticated via UC's Single-Sign-On engine and view the resource directly.
* Unfortunately at this stage, you are unable to embed a Lynda.com video in a Moodle site or Mahara page
Steps to share links to Lynda.com resources with other students and staff:
This guide will assist users to access Lynda.com on their mobile devices as well as assisting users to install a Lynda.com App on other devices.
Lynda.com has a convenient app that you can install on your personal device to for convenient access to Lynda.com resources. For further information please see: https://www.lynda.com/apps

You should now be redirected the UC's Lynda.com SSO page. The steps to log in from here are the same as if logging in through a browser and are listed again, below:
