This guide provides information about creating reading lists

Duplicating a list

Duplicating a list is a convenient way to reuse an existing list as a basis for a new list. It is important to rename a new list and associate to a new unit code.

(If you are re-using a list from a previous semester, it is easier for the Library if you "roll over" your list instead - that automatically recalculates any copyright permissions for the new period, meaning that your list will be ready faster.)

  1. Click on the options button (...), at the top left of your list > click on Duplicate List

 

 

  1. A new list is created. In “My Lists” the list will have the same name but followed by a (1). Edit the title information (re-name) and change to the relevant teaching teaching period ie S1 2019.
  2. On the new list click the options (…) and select “Manage course associations" to associate with a new site.

  1. The new list will be in draft format. Make any edits or additions as necessary > click “SEND LIST”  on completion so the library can move, add, purchase or scan items if required.

Leganto allows you to export a reading list from My Lists or from within a list.  This may be useful as a back up for future reference and will allow you to import your list if it is accidently deleted.

This is also a useful option if you wish to share your list with another convener.

1. Click on the three dots (...) on the left top of the list. From the drop down menu  Click on the export function.

2. Choose the format that suits. Note only a .lgn file can be re-imported back to Leganto. The Word or PDF formats are for viewing or printing only.

3. Importing a list: To upload a file in Reading Lists select New List and choose the Import .lgn file option.

You can also print lists from the Reading List options menu.
