Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning FAQs

28.2.2020 - Lynda.com redirect links will cease to work from 31 March 2020

"At present, old Lynda course links automatically redirect to live LinkedIn Learning links. However, this is a temporary solution, so if you haven’t already done so, you will need to replace old Lynda course links wherever necessary with live LinkedIn Learning links.

If no action is taken by March 31, 2020 your learners will experience dead links when attempting to access LinkedIn Learning content from the redirects."

I am convening a class in UCLearn in which I have links to Lynda.com content, how will this upcoming change impact those links?

All lynda.com redirect links will cease to work from 31 March 2020. To prevent interruption to that content from your UCLearn site, it is recommended that prior to 31 March 2020, you replace the Lynda.com redirect link (any links with Lynda in the URL string) with the valid LinkedIn Learning URL for that content.

I have an old link to a guide on the UC website for Lynda.com research assistance which is broken, where can I get help with LinkedIn learning?

Unfortunately, there is currently not a guide on the UC website to assist you with LinkedIn learning. However, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the library for assistance via this form https://canberra.libanswers.com/form.php?queue_id=1363

There is also a useful guide (which requires you to be logged in to LinkedIn learning) which you can access via this link: https://www.linkedin.com/learning/how-to-use-linkedin-learning/advance-your-skills-with-linkedin-learning?u=2330002

23.9.2019 - Lynda.com is now LinkedIn Learning

I do not want to use LinkedIn does that mean I will not be able to access LinkedIn Learning?

No, you do not have to have a LinkedIn profile to be able to access LinkedIn learning. You will have a LIL account which you have the option to connect to your LinkedIn profile if you desire.

I have an existing LinkedIn Learning account, can I migrate across my learning history from this account to my UC LinkedIn learning account?

No, unfortunately, users with private subscriptions to LIL will not be able to merge their learning history with their UC provided LIL account. However, LinkedIn users can have multiple LIL accounts connected to their profile. If you decide to connect your LIL account with your LinkedIn profile, learning history and certificates from all of your connected LIL accounts will be visible and accessible via your LinkedIn profile.

I have some privacy concerns about how LinkedIn handles my information, where can I get some more information?
