Australian Court Hierarchy

Courts in Australia are divided into Federal and State jurisdictions. The High Court is the highest court in Australia, and can hear appeals from all other courts.

Each State has its own court hierarchy.  Jurisdictions of each court vary from State to State. At the top of each State hierarchy is a Supreme Court.
