APA PsycARTICLES Read & Publish Agreement

The University of Canberra has a Read & Publish Agreement with APA PsycARTICLES for 2024

Journals included in this agreement

This agreement allows for publishing open access with no APCs in most of American Psychological Association's hybrid journals.

NOTE: journals published by the Canadian Psychological Association and Hogrefe, and APA's fully open access journal, Technology, Mind, and Behavior, are excluded from this agreement.

Eligible article types

These article types qualify for the Read and Publish agreement:

  • brief report
  • research article
  • review article

Limitations of the agreement

  • There is no cap on the number of articles published across all participating institutions.
  • Articles must be accepted on or after 1 Jan 2024.
  • Additional page charges will be applicable if an article has colour figures that will appear in colour in a print journal. Authors should always check each journal’s submission guidelines to ensure that they will not be subject to any other fees or charges.
  • Hybrid journals that 'flip' to OA during the course of this agreement will remain available for OA publishing for the duration of the agreement.

Creative Commons licences

Authors from participating institutions may publish under a CC BY licence.

How to submit your article

  • The corresponding author must provide the University of Canberra as their primary affiliation.
  • Corresponding authors must use their institutional email address (@canberra.edu.au) when submitting an article for publication.
